It’s better to completely disable Facebook notifications if you want to save battery on your device. If you still want the alerts from this app, make sure to turn off Sounds. Step #1. Open Settings app on your device → Notifications. Step #2. Under Notification Style, tap on Facebook and configure it rightly. #7. Delete and Reinstall the App Frequently You can temporarily get rid of the battery issue by just deleting and reinstalling the app. Besides, it will also free up a lot of space on your device thanks to the removal of documents and data stored by this social app. #8. Add Mobile Site to Your Home Screen You can add the mobile site to your Home screen in order to avoid using the official app. The best thing about it is that it will neither eat battery nor will it take away a lot of space.
