How to View People and Faces in the Photos App
Very much like Memories, individual people collection is presented through a video slideshow. It displays all the pics of that person. Step #1. Launch Photos app on your iPhone. Step #2. Next, tap on the Album tab at the bottom. Step #3. Now, you have to tap on People album. Step #4. Tap on a person or face in order to view the collection. Step #5. To view the video, you need to tap on the play button. Besides, you have the option to change the theme of the slideshow. To do so, just swipe left or right on the menu bar to choose the desired theme. In order to carry out more editing, you will have to export the video to Memories. To do so, first, pause the video, tap on the edit button at the bottom right corner and then tap on OK in the popup to confirm.
Name or Rename People in Photos App on iPhone/iPad
Step #1. Open Photos app → Albums → People album. Step #2. Now, you have to select a person/face. Step #3. Tap on the + Add Name at the top center to name the person. If the person has already been identified, tap on the Name at the top center to rename him/her → Enter the name of the person. When you begin to type the name, autocomplete suggestions will appear on the screen. Either select the suggested options or type in the name manually. Step #4. Tap on Done at the bottom right corner.
How to Add Favorite People or Faces in the Photos App
Step #1. Open Photos app → Albums → People album → Person. Step #2. Scroll down and tap on Favorite This Person. Note: Alternately, you can tap on Select at the top right corner and then tap on Favorite at the bottom center. There is another way you can favorite any person. Just touch and hold on the pic of any person and then drag it at the top half of the screen. Later, if you change your mind, you can follow these same steps and Unfavorite this person. There is an option to view only the favorite people. To do so, simply tap on Show Favorites Only.
Remove People or Faces in Photos app on iPhone/iPad
You can remove people or faces that have been wrongly identified. Step #1. Open Photos app → Albums → People album. Step #2. Next, you have to select the person/face. Step #3. Tap on the Select button at the upper left the corner. Note: You can tap on Show All to check out all the images easily. Then tap on Summary to return to the normal view. Step #4. Tap on Show Faces in order to zoom in on the person that has been identified in the photo thumbnails. Step #5. Now, tap on any face or multiple faces to select them. Step #6. Tap on the share button at the bottom left the corner. Step #7. Tap on Not This Person button at the bottom left the corner. If you have iPhone 6s, 6s Plus, 7, and 7 Plus, simply peek on any photo and then slide up to reveal the Not This Person option.
Merge Multiple People and Faces Collections into a Single Person
Step #1. Open Photos app → Albums → People. Step #2. Tap on Select at the top. Now, you have to choose the people collections you want to merge. (Make sure to select two or more.) → Tap on Merge at the bottom right corner. Step #3. Tap on Merge again in the popup to confirm.
How to Add New People or Faces to the Photos App
Step #1. Open Photos app → Albums → People. Step #2. Scroll down and tap on Add People button. Step #3. Select A person or several people you want to add. Then tap on Add at the bottom right corner. (Besides, you can select several photos of the same person, tap on Merge. Then tap on Merge & Add in the popup to make the task of identifying that person a bit easy.)
Hide People or Faces in the Photos App
Step #1. Open Photos app → Albums → People. Step #2. Tap on Select at the top right corner. Step #3. Now, select the persons you want to hide → Tap on Hide at the bottom left the corner.
How to View Hidden People or Faces in the Photos App
Step #1. Open Photos app → Albums → People. Step #2. Tap on Show Hidden People. Tap on Show Less in order to hide those faces from the main screen.

Step #1. Open Photos app → Albums → People. Step #2. Tap on Select at the top right corner. The hidden persons will appear at the bottom section. Tap on the faces you want to unhide. Then tap on Unhide at the bottom left corner.
