iPhone/iPad and Mac OS X allow you to create public calendars out of the Calendar app on your device.
How to Create a Public Calendar On Your iPhone Calendar App
Step #1. Open the Calendar app. Step #2. Now, tap on Calendars from the top-right. Step #3. Tap on Edit. Step #4. Tap on Add Calendar… Step #5. Give it a name. Once done, you can tap on the calendar name to edit it. Step #6. Scroll down after tapping the calendar and where it says Public Calendar, slide the switch to ON. Now, the calendar is public. You can share the link through Share Link… option. By default, the iPhone lets you share calendar links via Mail and text. You can also copy the calendar URL.
Alternatively, you can also share calendars that have already been created. To do this: Step #1. In the Calendar app, tap on Calendars from the top-right Step #2. This shows a list of all the calendars. Tap on the blue icon next to the calendar you want to make public Step #3. Scroll down and switch ON where it says Public Calendar. That’s it. Use the Share Link… option to share the calendar.
You must note here that the calendar is only made public so anyone with the link can “view” the calendar entries. No one can edit the calendar. Only you get to do that. While Shared Calendars work as a collaborative calendar, public calendars are read-only. Subscribers do not get alerts or notifications when you make changes to the calendar. That’s all!
