Even before, I could take a peek all the features of the News app, I ran into an annoying issue, which prevented me from accessing Apple News Plus content on other synced iCloud devices. To be more precise, I subscribed to the news service on my iPhone and wished to check out some of my favorite magazines on the iPad. But when I opened the app, I wasn’t able to get my content. Apple…what’s going on here? Fortunately, I didn’t have to wait long before I could shoot out this issue. Try out the following solutions, if you have also faced this problem.
Unable to Get Apple News Plus Content from Other Synced Devices? Possible Solutions
Solution #1. Ensure That Apple News App Is Not Restricted
Be sure that you haven’t restricted the News app unknowingly. Open Settings app on your iOS device → Screen Time → Content & Privacy Restrictions. Then turn on the switch for it. Next up, tap on Allowed Apps and ensure that the Apple News toggle is ON.
Solution #2. Cancel The Apple News+ Subscription and Re-subscribe Again
After giving several tricks a try unsuccessfully, I decided to cancel the subscription and re-subscribe to the news service. Thankfully, this trick did work for me in fixing the problem. Step #1. Open Apple News app on your device and tap on the Following tab. Step #2. Now, scroll down and tap on Manage Subscriptions. Step #3. Next up, tap on Cancel Subscription and confirm. Now, open the app and News+ tab. Then, tap on Try It Free and authenticate the subscription. Now, you should be able to access all the available magazines and also follow them without any issue. Sticky Note: As weird as it sounds; when I re-subscribed to the news service, Apple deducted one month of subscription fee ($9.99)–even though the company offers a free trial of one month. I hope this is not the case with you.
Solution #3: Wait for Software Update
The reason why I’ve suggested you update your device is that it can improve the overall performance of not just the app but also your device. Moreover, Apple is pretty much aware of the issues that the news app is facing right now. So, chances are high that a permanent fix might just be on the way. Head into Settings app → General → Software Update. Now, download and install the update. There you go! Wrapping Up… Hopefully, the news app has returned to normal, and you can easily browse through all the content. Which one of the above-explained tips worked for you? Shoot your feedback and also the sort of improvements you want to see in the app. You’d like to have a glance at the following posts as well:
